I was lucky enough to meet up with some friends on a little sunflower gold tour. Having just missed some sunflowers the week before (and the year before), I decided I'd get a little help before trying again. So when I got invited, I jumped at the chance... as it turned out, my friends took me to a gorgeous field with what seemed like a never ending view of sunflowers.

Fortunately Mother Nature chimed in with calm winds and some really pretty rays of light. It had been windy most every day leading up to this so seeing no winds was a really big treat. It's not as pretty when the flowers are dancing and waving across the sky. So the combination of sharp, glowing sunfower pedals and bright glowing beams of light from the sun hiding behind the clouds made for a truly wonderful scene.
