When Kin said he'd give us a chance to shoot the Peregrine Falcon with it's wings flapping, I knew I was in for a treat. Afterall, shooting one of the fastest creatures on the planet isn't something we normally get to see - especially from a stationary position. So when we almost moved on without doing the wing flapping, I was quick to ask, weren't we going to flap some wings?

The best part was after a few tries and lots of camera clicking, Kin asked if we got any good shots. The response was silence! He promptly took that as a no and tried again. On the last try, I knew I nailed it as the falcon looked right down my lens at me. Beautiful!

As a member, I got to shoot these pictures during a HawkQuest Photo Shoot :-) at Bear Creek Lake Park in Lakewood, Colorado. HawkQuest is a birds of prey rescue and education program based in Parker, Colorado. Thanks to Kin Quitugua and the HawkQuest organization for the wonderful opportunity to shoot their rescued birds in a natural setting.
