Skirts Preferred At Frozen Dead Guy Days

Should Have Gone With The Skirt
These guys were so much fun to watch! Here we see an action shot showing why a skirt is clearly a better choice than a dress at the Frozen Dead Guy Days festival in the little mountain town of Nederland, Colorado. I have to admit that this is my favorite shot from this year’s festival. It’s taken during my favorite event, the Polar Plunge where the brave/dumb jump into icy waters with style. As you can see, I couldn’t ask for a better illustration of why I wouldn’t wear a dress for the plunge. Would you want to miss the best part of the event because your dress was flying up in your face? I suggest following the example of the guy on the right by going with the skirt instead… These guys were hilarious and the crowd loved it!
The Frozen Dead Guy Days festival is a spring-time mountain tradition where all the crazies come out of the woodwork to celebrate Grandpa Bredo frozen in a Tuffshed. In the end, the Frozen Dead Guy Days festival has been a great chance to check out the local wildlife – the wildlife with two legs that is.

Holy ____ It’s Cold!
I couldn’t think of a more appropriate title considering how many people yelled it when they came up out of the icy water at the Polar Plunge. It was really something to see the people approach the water on top of their game. They were on stage and putting on a real show. But when they came out of the water, most had a completely different look – a look of shock.
I missed most of the really good reactions where the crowd even responded, but I did catch this guy in the superhero mouse outfit with a red cape. It’s my best attempt at capturing that look of shock.
